The Church of Wisdom

The Church of Wisdom is a non-denominational, non-profit universal and spiritual church. We embrace all of God's truths, and the many ways He has revealed and expressed Himself throughout time. The Church was chartered in 1971 with the purpose of assisting and supporting therapists and healing practitioners in their healing ministry. The Church of Wisdom headquarters are located adjacent to Delphi University & Spiritual Center at 725 Old Silvermine Rd. outside of McCaysville, Georgia.

The Church accepts the programs from Delphi University, and the Patricia Hayes School and RoHun™ Institute as its seminary studies for ordination as a minister in the Church of Wisdom.

The Temple of Wisdom at Delphi was completed in February 2003

The Journey
The Church of Wisdom was chartered in l971 in Miami, Florida, by Jordon Thompson who, before his death, was a practicing lawyer and a trance medium, a rare and unique combination.  Mr. Thompson gave the church to us with this simple instruction: “You’re going to need this for your work in the future."  It wasn’t long before the purpose of the church became clear: to create a ministry of healers and teachers who would carry their light out into the world, just as the Christ did over two thousand years ago. Through their teaching and healing ministry, others would be awakened spiritually and would discover the light that shines within themselves, and the truth of who they really are. The church ordained its first group of ministers in l974. Since that time, our healing ministry has spread to over 28 countries.

Until now, The Church of Wisdom has never had a physical church of its own. The Church's seminary internship has utilized and continues to utilize the teaching and certification programs of The Arthur Ford Academy, The Patricia Hayes School, The RoHun™ Institute and Delphi University as its ministerial program. The ordination of the Church's ministers has also been held at Delphi.

The Church's purpose has never been to erect more churches, for the world doesn't need more buildings, but rather, more dedicated individuals who would serve God through serving others in need whoever and wherever they were. As a result, each minister carries the healing ministry of the Church within their hearts as they serve God and their fellow man.

The Inspiration
In December of 1999, the Church's spiritual founders communicated from the spiritual world that it was time to build a spiritual complex, a vast window or vortex, a gateway connecting the spiritual and the physical worlds. This spiritual complex would house a temple, a creative laboratory and a healing sanctuary, and would serve as a conductor of higher energies and thought channeled to and spread throughout our world. Our spiritual friends were very specific in the order and design of the project, utilizing sacred geometry in every aspect of the construction.

Kimberly and Charles Curcio received the elaborate instructions through channeling sessions and meditations over a period of time. They were so inspired that they totally funded the project themselves.

The Plan
Spirit communicated to us that there were to be four buildings in the complex, one to be built in each of the four directions.  Each of the four buildings would surround a courtyard and a fountain which was to be in the shape of a circle, with a cross in the center, with each end of the cross pointing in one of the four directions.  This cross within the circle is the symbol of the Great White Lodge, also known as the Great White Brotherhood or Brotherhood of Light, the organization of Masters, Archangels, angelic beings, and those human beings on earth, who work under the auspices of the Christ for the evolution of mankind and of the planet.  The main Temple was to face east in the direction of the sunrise, so that when the sun rose, God’s Light would shine through the front door and into the church. In addition to the main temple, there were also to be three other primary buildings, a total of four, to complete the Church of Wisdom complex.  The four buildings to be constructed are:

  1. Temple of Wisdom – completed February 2003
  2. Temple of Light – completed February 2003
  3. Mauricio Panisset Temple of Healing – planned to start in 2007 and finish in 2008. This building will be a five-sided pyramid dedicated to the memory and life of Mauricio Panisset, the Man of Light. The Temple of Healing will be large enough to support twelve healers working simultaneously.
  4. Temple of the People – construction planned for 2008.  This is a large social building which will be used for gatherings, workshops, special occasions, eating, and fun.

A ceremony dedicating the opening of the Temple of Wisdom and the Temple of Light was held in February of 2003. At that time our spiritual friends communicated to us that now is the time to celebrate, dedicate and increase the energy of this wonderful spiritual gateway.

Design and Construction
The first step of the construction plan was to erect an energy transformer and transmitter on the beautiful four-acre site overlooking the mountains. A latitudinal and a longitudinal lay line intersect each other on the church site.  It is at this intersection the transmitter was erected. This was completed in August of 2000.

The first building to be erected was the main temple, The Temple of Wisdom, which also houses the Initiation Chamber of The Holy Order of the Dove.  The construction of the Temple of Wisdom is based upon the principles of Sacred Geometry.  The front of the Church resembles an ancient Greek Temple.  The two columns supporting the roof represent the Twin Pillars of Joachim and Boaz, the pillars of the masculine and feminine energies, Joachim on the right and Boaz on the left as one is facing out from the temple.  The central chamber of the church is constructed in a Decagon or ten-sided circular shape, the completion number of 10 in Kabbalistic teachings, and is topped with a circular dome which represents the Sphere or atom, the fundamental building block of all matter and all life.  The apex of the dome is also ten sided and constructed of multi-colored hues of glass.  Directly below the apex is the Crystal Garden, a collection of museum sized specimen crystals from all over the world, topped with a clear cover on which one can stand and experience the energies of the crystals.

There are three additional rooms which connect to the main church.  All of these buildings have a unique shape and form which is outlined in copper metal, because of its ability to conduct energy. The first of these ancillary buildings is to the right as you enter, and is a Dodecahedron, a room created from the joining together of 12 pentagons, which corresponds to the element of Ether and spiritual energy.  This structure is dedicated as a meditation room.

On the left you will find the Icosahedron, which is constructed of 20 equilateral triangles joined together, and which corresponds to the element of Water, the element of the emotions and the Emotional Body.  This room, also outlined in copper, is the Consultation Room, and is used for readings and counseling. It also houses a giant Elestial Crystal which, by meditating with it, can help one to discover the truth of who they are.

At the back of the Church, behind the altar, is the Inner Sanctum or Initiation Room.  The room itself is in the form of a Cube, the element of the Earth and of the physical body.  Atop the cube is a Giza-style four-sided pyramid cut to the same angles as the Great Pyramid, 51˚ 51’ 51”.  This pyramid is representative of and is in the form of an Octahedron, the 8-sided figure corresponding to the element of Air and the Mind or Mental Body.  The cube and the pyramid are outlined in copper, and the bottom half of the Octahedron was constructed energetically.

To create the element of Fire, represented by the Tetrahedron or three-sided pyramid (not including the base), Metatron’s Pyramid was used.  Metatron’s Pyramid is constructed of gold-plated copper tubing that has a base of 6 interlocking tetrahedrons that form a Star of David at the bottom, with a suspended Star Tetrahedron at the top, and six hanging quartz crystals corresponding to the Great Archangels.

Moving out of the Church, we are met by our giant Earthkeeper Crystal, a gift of God that anchors the higher energies of Light into this sacred place.  In our Virtual Tour there is a picture of the Earthkeeper on the Opening Day of the Church, which clearly shows the Spiritual Keeper of this crystal climbing the steps and taking his place in the heart of the crystal, just before our activation ceremony.

On the north side of the complex is the Temple of Light. Resembling a step pyramid or ziggurat, The Temple of Light is a small healing temple in which healings are performed by Charles & Kimberly Curcio and others.  There are three chambers in this temple, and its floor plan is much the same as the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem.  The first room or chamber in this temple is a waiting or staging room.  The central room houses healing tables and the Vogel Photonic Crystal and Light Machine.  And the third or interior room is the Inner Chamber or Creative Laboratory, where the substance of higher thought is transmitted and materialized on the earth plane.

Inside the Church
Before entering the Temple, one can’t help but feel awed by the natural beauty that surrounds us.  From the tall trees to the beautiful flowers, to the panorama of the Blue Ridge Mountains that surround this spiritual outpost, one can feel the energy and the reverence, and the love that permeates this place, a place where God’s love is felt.  Passing through the Twin Pillars, one enters the Church through the huge wooden doors engraved with two eagles, a reminder of how high we can soar as spiritual beings.  Above the second set of doors, the name of God in Hebrew appears in stained glass, YHWH.  When the sun rises in the East, it shines through God’s holy name and into the Church, creating an energy here like no other.  Moving into the Church one is struck with the beauty, simplicity, and uniqueness of this wonderful sanctuary.  The dome and the ten LAN beams that support it are breathtaking.  The Church has a ring of twenty windows surrounding it, each a different color, and flowing together like the colors of the spectrum.  As the sun moves across the sky, a dazzling and ever-changing array of colored light is manifested within. And inside the temple you will find symbols and treasures, evidencing God’s presence on earth.

Looking around this sacred place, one cannot help but be inspired.  From the portrait of Elijah ascending to heaven in his chariot as Melchizedek looks on, to the Ancient Egyptian zodiac wheel and hieroglyphic alphabet; from the oriental carpets from Turkey that decorate this place, to the statues of Quan Yin and Buddha that are present, and the Tree of Life and Cube of Metatron stained glass windows, or the icons from the Greek monasteries of old, the Temple of Wisdom is place of beauty, love, harmony, and healing, where God’s uniqueness and Oneness is in evidence and can be experienced.  Perhaps the most impressive offering of the temple is the 7 foot tall original oil portrait of the Cosmic Christ.  Many people have said that they when they hold their hands up to the extended hands of the Christ portrait, they can ‘feel’ the energy.

Everyone is Welcome
Currently, the Church of Wisdom is conducting services once a month on the Sunday following the first Friday of each month, to correspond to our Connecting With Spirit Weekends at Delphi.  Everyone is welcome to join us as we celebrate our love, our work, and our purpose.  Come sing, meditate, and learn with us. Our Sunday service concludes with chair healings.
